login it brings me back to the login screen. Why?

If you are not a Kohler Dealer/OEM, click Enter
as a Guest.
If you are a Kohler Dealer/OEM, use your
11-digit Warranty ID Number as your User Name, and an initial password of
"kohler" (all lower case). Click the LOGIN button.
NOTE: The REMEMBER ME NEXT TIME button can be used to store your User ID.
This does not store your password.
If you need help using Kohler PLUS, click on
the Help file located in the blue navigation bar once you have logged in.
Click the Forgot password? link. The
system will request your e-mail address. Be sure to enter the same e-mail
address that is shown in your user account. The web site will send you an e-mail
with a new password within 5 minutes. If an e-mail is not received, contact
Kohler for assistance.
REMINDER: The password is case sensitive.
Please ensure you are typing it accurately.
The system will require you to change your
password. The password you were e-mailed should be typed into the Old Password field.
Click the UPDATE button located in the lower right-hand corner to save your
changes.

Kohler PLUS is not currently Netscape enabled.
1)
Launch
your Netscape browser to log into the internet.
2)
Minimize
the browser.
3)
Launch
Microsoft Internet ExpIorer.
4)
Open
the Kohler PLUS website (www.kohlerplus.com)
from within the Microsoft Internet ExpIorer browser.
When logging into
Kohler PLUS for the first time you will be prompted to install the ActiveX
Viewer. If you choose not to install, Kohler PLUS may not perform properly. We
highly recommend the installation of ActiveX.
Click Install Components. This should install in about 30 seconds depending on your internet connection.
Your ActiveX
Microsoft Internet Explorer controls are not enabled.
1) Click the Tools menu located in the top menu bar of Microsoft Internet
Explorer.
2) From the drop down menu, click Internet Options….


3) Click the Security tab in the Internet Options dialog box.
4) Click the Custom Level… button.

5) Locate the “ActiveX controls and plug-ins”
group within the list and enable each of the control functions.

Check that the
following control functions are all enabled (Not all of these items may appear
depending on your system setup):

Automatic
prompting for Active controls
·
Binary
and script behaviors
·
Download
signed ActiveX controls
·
Download
unsigned ActiveX controls
·
Initialize
and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe
·
Run ActiveX
controls and plug-ins
·
Script
ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting

Click OK to close the Security Settings.
7) Click
OK to close the Internet Options
dialog box.
When you registered
as a Kohler Dealer, you received an 11-digit Warranty ID Number. This is your
User Name to sign into Kohler PLUS.
The engine
identification numbers (model, spec, and serial number) are on a silver decal
normally affixed to the blower housing of the engine. These numbers should be
provided to the dealer whenever parts are required.

select the type of search you would like to perform (e.g. Part, Specification,
Model, or Product).

For a Specification Search—Avoid entering
any alpha characters that are located at the end of the specification number.
Click GO
or press the ENTER key on your
keyboard.
Part descriptions listed in red have been superseded with new part numbers. Click
on the part number to access information for the part. Select the SUPERSESSION button to find the most current part
number.
There are two locations that Owner’s and Service Manuals can be found:

Log into the web site or enter as a Guest.
Click on Service Literature.


There are two ways to locate literature.

1) The first method would be to use the left-hand navigation pane. This pane uses the “+” symbol to let you know that there is more information. A “-“ symbol means you have reached the end of the list.
2) The second method is to review the listed descriptions located in the center of the screen.
3). You can find literature using the Search field located in the upper right-hand corner of each
section. A search can only be performed using a Form Number. Type your Form
Number and click the
symbol, or press ENTER to start searching.
Microsoft Internet Explorer stores information in what is called “Cookies.” If errors appear when entering a web site it is likely that the cookie is holding some outdated information or incorrect information for that web site. Follow the procedure below to reset your cookies.
1) Run Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2) Click the Tools menu located in the top menu bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
3) From the drop down menu, click Internet Options….


4) Click the General tab in the Internet Options dialog box.
5) Click the Delete Cookies… button.

6) Click OK
in the pop-up dialog box to delete all cookies.
7) Click OK
to close the Internet Options dialog box.
8) Close Microsoft Internet Explorer and reopen.
9) Delete your Kohler PLUS Favorite.
10) Type the web site address into the address
bar (www.kohlerplus.com) and click the
button.
You can determine the year of manufacture of your engine using the serial number. See the Serial Number Significance table.
